CDBG PROGRAM 626-570-5011
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program provides cities with funds for eligible activities in the areas of housing, economic development, public facilities, social services and planning. All funded activities must meet one of the following national objectives: (1) to assist low and moderate-income households; (2) to eliminate or prevent slums or blight; or (3) to respond to an urgent need. Designated use of the funds is based on a collaborative process that comes under the guidance of the Housing and Community Development Citizen Advisory Committee (HCDA). The Committee is comprised of Alhambra residents who are given an opportunity to make recommendations concerning proposed use of the funds, range of activities, and actual use of funds designated to benefit low and very low persons.
The blue container for recyclable items is for disposing glass jars and bottles, plastic jars and bottles, metal and aluminum cans, and all clean paper. View a list of items you can and can't recycle. Do not place clothes in your recycling cart or leave large bags of clothes on the curb as Republic Services will not pick them up.
