The City of Alhambra ("City") is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for the contract operations of the Alhambra Community Transit (“ACT”) fixed- route transit system and the Alhambra Senior Ride (“Senior Ride”) paratransit system. Operations include management, fueling, vehicle repair and maintenance, reporting requirements, and assistance with. Marketing and promotional Activities, ACT and Senior Ride are two separate programs. The City believes there are unique opportunities for coordination of services, cost efficiency, and a high level of management responsiveness, if both the fixed-route system and the par transit system are operated and managed by the same organization. Contractors are encouraged to submit a joint proposal for both projects though the City will accept proposals for just one system.
Proposals are due by no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2019. Submit an original and five (5) copies of the proposal and one (1) pdf file on thumb drive. All proposals must be submitted in writing, sealed, clearly identified as to content and received and time/date stamped at the City Clerk's Office. Proposals received after the deadline date and time will be rejected and returned to the proposer, unopened.
