The Alhambra Police Department is pleased to announce the return of its popular Community Academy and is accepting applications for its English language session. The academy dates are from Thursday, August 15 to Thursday, September 19, 2019. Classes will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The deadline to submit an application is Monday, July 15, 2019.
The Community Academy is a six-week program which provides members of the community with a look inside the Alhambra Police Department and all facets of local law enforcement. The goal of the academy is to offer you a fun and exciting opportunity to see first-hand what it’s like to walk in the shoes of an Alhambra law enforcement officer. All Community Academy sessions are taught by Alhambra police officers and staff. During the Academy, students will be introduced to police operations, will “ride-a-long” with a patrol officer on duty and participate in lectures and role-playing exercises.
