Holiday Tree Recycling
Don't forget to recycle your holiday tree. Cut, real holiday trees and wreaths will be accepted at the curb by Republic Services for three weeks beginning Monday, December 27 through Friday, January 14, 2022 (artificial trees and wreaths will not be accepted). Be sure to take off all of the lights, ornaments, tinsel, and garland, and remove the metal or plastic stand. Set the bare tree at the curb on your regular trash pick-up day. If your tree is taller than 6 feet, please cut it in half for safe and easy collection.) If you don't take your tree down until after January 15, 2022, please cut it into pieces and place it into your yard waste green cart with the lid closed.
The wreaths and greenery must also be bare, so please remove all wire, hooks, bows and other decorations. Collected trees and greenery are turned into mulch, compost and ground cover. Artificial trees and wreaths are not recyclable, so if you are throwing those away, place them in your black bin. Thank you for your cooperation.
