[ARCHIVED] Slurry Seal Work As Part Of FY 19-20 SB1 Street Rehabilitation Project

This notice is to advise you that on behalf of City of Alhambra, Sully Miller will be conducting slurry seal work on 4TH STREET, SAN MARINO AVE., and 8TH STREET as part of the 19-20 SB1 Street Rehabilitation Project.

Weather permitting and save any other potential delay construction activity and street closures have been scheduled as shown in the included map.

In order to safely and efficiently complete the scheduled improvements, temporary street closures and restricted parking and access to driveways in the area will be implemented.

We thank you for your cooperation during construction and assure you we will move through the project as efficiently as possible to minimize any inconvenience.

“Temporary No Parking” will be posted at least 72 hours in advance of the work. VEHICLES NOT MOVED OUT OF THE POSTED TEMPORARY NO PARKING ZONES WILL BE TOWED PER THE POSED CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE NO. 22651.

**Frequently Asked Questions**

Q. Will I have access to my driveway/parking/garage facing the street that’s in construction?

A. No vehicles will be allowed to drive on the mentioned streets on the scheduled days between 7am and 5pm. NO EXCEPTIONS. You will notice temporary “No Parking” signs along the street with certain time-frames. You will be able to park in cross-streets and nearby streets if you are worried about not being able to get out of your parking during construction hours. Street Sweeping and overnight parking restrictions will be relaxed during construction in the surrounding streets to accommodate for those who need to park elsewhere for the day.

Q. Will trash still be collected during construction?

A. YES. Sully Miller, the City of Alhambra and Republic Services are working together to ensure your services are not interrupted.

Q. Will closures be up through the week?

A. Closures will only be during construction. At the end of each workday, the contractor will clear out the street. Working hours are 7AM to 5PM.
