The City of Alhambra is holding the Hearts of Love and Remembrance Ceremony to pay tribute to the community lives lost to Covid-19, and to show our heartfelt appreciation to healthcare workers, public safety workers, teachers, all frontline workers.
The public is invited to attend the event in front of City Hall on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 5:00 p.m.
“This past year has been very difficult for all of us,” said Councilmember Ross Maza. “We hope this observance will help bring some tranquility, comfort and healing as we work together to get through the pandemic.”
Five hundred hearts will be hung from trees placed in front of City Hall. Residents are encouraged to stop by between August 25 to September 23 to write a special message in recognition of someone that they’ve lost due to Covid-19, or a note of appreciation to someone that has supported them during this pandemic.
