[ARCHIVED] Construction Notice: Water Main Replacement Project

Water Main Replacement Project on Winthrop Drive, Westmont Drive, Norwich Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue

As part of an ongoing effort to improve and maintain your community’s Water System, the City of Alhambra has contracted with our company to install a new water main throughout your neighborhood. You may experience temporary service interruptions from time to time. The water line construction will occur between Monday, September 18, 2023, and Thursday, November 23, 2023.

The streets in the immediate construction zone will be partially closed when work is underway. Traffic will be limited to one way in the construction zone during construction hours. Local access will be maintained and detour signs will be posted for thru traffic in the adjacent areas. The street will be re-opened after construction hours.

Street parking is prohibited from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. when work is underway. “TEMPORARY NO PARKING” signs will be posted 72 hours before work begins on your street. Vehicles parked on a street with a posted “TEMPORARY NO PARKING” sign will be towed at the owner’s expense.

In the event that there are some unforeseen conditions, we will notify you in writing of any schedule changes. If construction work does not occur on the posted date, the work will be re-scheduled and new signs posted.

Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience. If you have questions about the project, please call:
