[ARCHIVED] Student Art Contest To Design Rose Parade Float

The City of Alhambra and the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce are launching an Art Contest asking students to help inspire the design for the City’s 2024 Tournament of Roses Parade Float. The theme for 2024 is, "Celebrating a World of Music, the Universal Language." In a world of different cultures, beliefs, hopes, and dreams, one language unites us all–Music!

The design Art Contest is open to all Alhambra Unified Elementary School students attending a school in the City of Alhambra. Students must submit their artwork along with the application. All mediums–from digital design to crayons—will be accepted. The artwork must be related to the theme.

Applications can be picked up at City Hall, Almansor Park, Alhambra Park, Joslyn Center and the Civic Center Library. The application can also be downloaded hereThe deadline to submit the application is Thursday, March 16, 2023.

The winner of the art contest will be awarded two VIP tickets to the 2024 Rose Parade where they can watch their design float down Colorado Boulevard on New Year’s Day morning.
