Republic Services has begun Service Interruptions on all accounts that have not been paid for the last 120 days. If you receive a red tag, follow its instructions to resume collection service.
Contamination occurs when waste is placed in the wrong container, such as non-recyclables in your blue bin. This can lead a whole truckload of recyclable material to go to landfill. Republic Services will begin administering fines for contamination on February 1st.
