Alhambra Recycles Event

It's back! The City of Alhambra and Republic Services invite you to attend our bi-annual Alhambra Recycles Event on Saturday, October 7th from 8AM to 12PM.

Alhambra residents are invited to recycle electronic waste (such as computers, tablets, TVs, and printers), recycle plastic bottles and aluminum cans, and shred documents. Please note: NO COMPOST WILL BE DISTRIBUTED. Compost will be given at a separate event on 9/30. For more information, click here.

  1. Is document shredding conducted in person?
    1. Yes. You can watch shredding of your personal items on site.
  2. How many documents can I bring to be shredded?
    1. You are allowed to bring a maximum of 5 banker boxes.
  3. Why is compost not being offered?
    1. Compost will be given away at a separate event on 9/30/2023. For more information, visit bit.ly/alhambracompostevent
  4. Are household hazardous waste, batteries, or lightbulbs allowed?
    1. No! Please visit www.cityofalhambra.org/667/Household-Hazardous-Waste to learn how to dispose of these items properly.
