The Parks and Recreation Department provides residents with a system of community parklands, and a wide range of recreational opportunities, cultural programming for the entire community, special programs for individuals and groups, services to senior citizens, especially through the Joslyn Center, specialized community services (Farmer's Market, Community Garden, etc.), transportation assistance through Senior Ride and landscape maintenance of municipal buildings.

Responsibilities
Programs and Activities - provides programs, activities, and services to residents of all ages
Park Services - maintains the daily operations of Alhambra parks
Recreation - coordinates weekly Farmers Markets as well as adult and youth sports
Programs and Aquatics - oversees aquatics and programs, such as cultural and leisure classes, in Alhambra
Senior Services - operates and manages senior services throughout Alhambra

You must reserve a park shelter in person at the Parks and Department located at: City Hall 111 S First Street Alhambra, CA 91801
Park shelter reservations must be made before 4:30 pm and at least 10 working days prior to your event.
