Special Interest Clubs & Activities for Seniors

All clubs meet on a weekly or monthly basis on the day and time listed below. Clubs are run independently. If you have special interests and would like to start a club, call 626-570-5056.

Alhambra Lawn Bowlers
Free Instruction
Bowlers meet at the Almansor Park Lawn Bowling Green.

Golden Age Dance Club
Thursdays, 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Fee: $3.00

Fridays, 12:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Asian Pacific Dance Club
Learn popular ballroom dances by an instructor
Fridays, 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Fee: $1.00
Happy Dance Club
Saturdays, 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Fee: $2.50
Canasta Club
Wednesdays, 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Oldies But Goodies Singing Group
Wednesdays, 9 a.m.-11 a.m.
Sing-along to your favorite tunes.

Chess Club
2nd & 4th Thursday each month
7 p.m.-9 p.m.

Origami Creation Club
Thursdays, 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Participants are responsible for their own materials.
Chinese Dancing Club
Fridays, 12:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Rainbow Senior Dance Club
Annual Membership: $20.00
Sundays, 3 p.m.-6 p.m.
Weekly donations are appreciated.
Craft Circle
Mondays, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Learn basic knitting and crocheting skills. Free knitting and crochet lessons. Please bring your own needles, crochet hooks, and yarn.
Senior Art Club
$30/12 weeks
Sessions are non-instructed. Fees cover payment for model. Models needed (small honorarium provided).
Elite Spanish Club
Annual Membership: $5.00
1st & 3rd Mondays: 1 p.m.-3 p.m.
Sunday Dances as scheduled.
VITAS Volunteer Craft Group
2nd Monday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Join other volunteers in making VITAS Memory Bears and other handmade items, sewn with compassion and love to help ease the sadness for people who have lost a loved one.
  Writers Roundtable
Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
