On Monday, January 15, 2017, at 2:07 A.M., the California Highway Patrol received a call of a person walking on the eastbound 10 freeway, near Santa Anita, in El Monte. The subject of the call was later identified as Lin. Officers from the California Highway Patrol determined that Lin was unable to care for himself and transported him to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.

The Alhambra Police Department is grateful for the interest shown by media outlets and social media followers in locating Lin. We would like to remind people that when they come across persons that appear disabled, to call 911. If the disabled person is not experiencing an emergency, people can call their local police station or the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health hotline at 877-854-7771.
