The Alhambra Police Department received reports of shots fired today, at 2:15 p.m., in the area of Winchester South of Commonwealth. Moments later, staff from Alhambra Hospital notified Alhambra Police of a gunshot victim being admitted to their hospital.
 
Responding officers learned that a gray pick-up truck occupied by 3-4 male Hispanics stopped on Winchester near Commonwealth and started shooting at a male near a residence. An exchange of gun fire occurred and the male in front of the residence was hit by the gun fire. After the gray pick-up truck left the scene, the male victim was rushed to the hospital. The extent of the victim’s injuries is unknown at this time.
 
 
The motive for the shooting is undetermined. The victim’s identity is not being released at this time. Alhambra Detectives are actively investigating this case. If anyone has information regarding this investigation they may leave an anonymous tip at (626) 308-4875.
