On Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 2:45 p.m. Alhambra Police Dispatch received a call of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision at the intersection of Valley Boulevard and Olive Avenue in the city of Alhambra. Alhambra Police Officers and Alhambra Fire Department Paramedics responded to the scene.

Responding officers learned that a female pedestrian was walking eastbound across Olive Ave. south of Valley Blvd. when she was struck by a van that was turning from westbound Valley to southbound Olive. The female pedestrian was transported to LA County/USC hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.  The male driver of the van remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
