| The Water Section maintains and operates a water system consisting of eight operational wells, one standby/irrigation well, a Metropolitan Water District service connection, five booster pump stations, six reservoir locations (27.53 million gallons of storage), 27-miles of transmission mains and 128 miles of distribution mains ranging in size from 4 inches to 24 inches, 3731 valves and 916 fire hydrants.
Its program provides is responsible for the production, treatment, disinfection, storage, distribution, repair and maintenance for the entire City-owned water system. This includes the installation of all new water lines, water main and service repairs, and all fire hydrant repairs.

| The Sewer and Storm Drain Section maintains and operates the sanitary sewer collection system which consists of 1,000 storm drains/catch basins, 2,800 manholes, seven lift stations with main sewer lines ranging in size from 4 inches to 36 inches. Approximately 99% of the system is composed of vitrified clay pipe, with less than 1% being cast iron pipe and reinforced concrete pipe. City personnel use high-pressure jetting to clean lines to maintain the sewer system. |
