Project Child Safe

The Project ChildSafe  firearm safety kit is available free-of-charge, on a first-come, first-served basis, to Alhambra residents. The gun lock fit most types of handguns, rifles and shotguns. It includes a cable style gun lock and safety curriculum.

The goal of providing the free safety kit (made available through a grant by the U.S. Department of Justice in partnership with the Project ChildSafe organization) is to prevent a child or any other unauthorized person from accessing a firearm and creating a tragic incident! Every Alhambra resident who owns a firearm is invited to pick up a Project Child Safe safety kit -- no paperwork or red tape involved.

For more information, contact the Alhambra Police Department Crime Prevention Office at (626) 570-5177 or email crimeprevention@alhambra.org.
