Neighborhood Watch Block Captains Meeting is Open to All Interested Alhambrans

Save the Date ...

Tuesday, February 23, 2010 - is the date for the next community-wide Neighborhood Watch Block Captains Meeting.

All interested residents are invited to attend the meeting, which will be in a workshop format including many informative topics and educational experiences, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Civic Center library (off of the Second Street entrance), 101 South First Street.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • 2009 Neighborhood Crime Prevention Review
  • The 2010 Census is Coming to Your Neighborhood
  • "Crime Wise - Neighborhood Crime Alerts"
  • Open Forum during which time the floor will be open to all topics

Since Block Captains Meetings always include elements of information and education, the public is invited to discuss  topics that will continue to influence the ability to maintain safe, friendly and crime-free neighborhoods.

And Block Captains, upon whose shoulders the Neighborhood Watch program rests, look forward to residents' input, which keeps the dialogue healthy, strong and meaningful--and provides them with a good dose of "NPR" (Neighbor Participation Resuscitation). Come join the group and keep it alive and lively, while giving the Captains a hand (some well-deserved recognition)!

If you have suggestions for topics to add to the meeting agenda, please call the Police Department's Crime Prevention Office at (626) 570-5177, or send an email to crimeprevention@alhambrapd.org.

See you on February 23!
