The Parks and Recreation Department coordinates a variety of special events. Summer Jubilee, which offers weekly themed entertainment, runs throughout the summer.

Parks & Recreation Department Responsibilities:

• Manages a wide range of human services to help enrich the lives of those who reside in our community
• Administers, manages and implements programs to maintain and beautify the City's parklands and recreational facilities
• Administers, manages and implements leisure service programs to accommodate a variety of interests, ages, cultures and abilities
• Publishes leisure activities programs in the Leisure Activities Guide 3 times / year
• Coordinates community special events, civic and cultural programs, comprehensive senior program (mainly through the Joslyn Center), weekly farmer's market, community garden, senior transportation services, volunteer services and contract management of the Alhambra Municipal Golf Course
