  City of Alhambra Receives Awards and Other Recognition

The City of Alhambra has received a variety of
awards and recognition for its accomplishments. 
The city is a three-time recipient of the California
Redevelopment Association's (CRA) prestigious 
Award of Excellence. The award, given in ten
categories, recognizes the long-term efforts of
redevelopment agencies across the State 
(of which there are over 340) to make positive
changes to a community, business district or
neighborhood.

2004 Award of Excellence for Public Spaces - Alhambra Renaissance Plaza -a $30 million entertainment complex located in the hub of Downtown at the corner of Garfield and Main featuring a 14-screen Edwards Theater and several well-known restaurants. [more 

2000 Award of Excellence for Mixed Use Development - Plaza on Main - a mixed-use residential/commercial project that led to the revitalization of downtown retail space and construction of a much needed low-income senior housing facility
