  Home Improvement Resources

Follow the links below for resources that can help homeowners improve their home's energy efficiency and conserve energy, reduce energy bills, and increase their home's safety.

ENERGY UPGRADE CALIFORNIA
Plans & funds home energy-related improvement projects

Visit the Energy Upgrade California Website

  • A statewide program collaborated by federal, state and
local governments, and utility companies to assist property owners in planning and funding home improvement projects that help lower energy use and conserve water and other natural resources.
  • Offers homeowners up to $4,500 cash back for home energy efficiency upgrades. (All income-level homeowners may apply - there are no restrictions.)
  • Improvements: insulation, sealing, HVAC upgrades, energy-efficient windows, tankless water heaters, and other "fixed" improvements. The program emphasizes a "whole house" approach rather than installing individual improvements.

 How Property Owners Can Participate:

  1. Go to the Energy Upgrade California - Los Angeles County section to learn about benefits, rebate information, and other details of the program.
  2. Go to "My Action Plan," a simple step-by-step process to help identify your best upgrade option and to locate a Participating Contractor.
  3. Select a Participating Contractor from Energy Upgrade California's online contractor database (you must work with a Participating Contractor to receive the Energy Upgrade rebates and incentives).
  4. Work with your Participating Contractor to complete your upgrade and submit the required paperwork.
  5. Receive your rebates and incentives.
