      Development Services Dept. Responsibilities:

  • Assist business owners and developers through the city's review and approval process
  • Develop a comprehensive, long-term plan for development and improvement of land use
  • Eliminate areas of urban blight and underlying causes
  • Promote quality development and rehabilitate existing structures
  • Encourage business growth and development that creates local employment opportunities and increases the city's tax base, which will allow for additional municipal services
