To those who attended the six
themed celebrations, the 2007
Summer Jubilee was the biggest,
the merriest, the loudest, and the
most entertaining celebration yet.
As many as 12,000 per evening
came to the Second Street event
to be musically transported by a
world-class lineup of performers.

More than Just Musical Ecstasy There were other activities, too, designated for the pleasure of the whole family, including games and crafts for the children, browsing through locally hand-crafted items available for purchase, and enjoying a tasty summer meal from one of the street vendors or at one of the downtown restaurants. Mayor Gary Yamauchi noted that the 2006 version of Alhambra's Summer Jubilee won the "Best of the Best" Award for community entertainment from the California Parks & Recreation Association, as well as receiving recognition as a "Showcase Project" by the California Redevelopment Association*.

The 2007 Jubilee was "bigger, better, included superlative entertainment, and fun for the whole family."  So what more can one ask for? Well, for that, you'll have to wait until next year's Summer Jubilee, which may be bigger and better, and with the summer 2008 opening of our new Civic Center Public Library, it will certainly be a summer to remember!
