 Alhambra Civic Center Library
Study & Meeting Rooms

Study Area & Meeting Rooms Located in the Teen Center

It goes without saying that the ability to study effectively is best in a physical environment that is conducive to learning. Sometimes what is required is a solitary place for deep thinking and quiet reflection, while at other times a group study area may be needed. The new Alhambra Civic Center Library includes both scenarios.

The Teen Center, for example, is comprised of two "noise-abating" group study areas for up to six students, while the upstairs adult area provides an additional two study rooms each allowing for up to six library patrons. There are also two study rooms in the library's Literacy Center--for use by up to six studiers per room, specifically designed for use by literacy students and tutors.

In addition to the aforementioned study rooms, there is a conference room for small meetings, for use by up to ten people, and the room is equipped for conference call meetings. And, for even larger group gatherings, a Community Meeting Room accommodates up to 200 people complete with tables, chairs and a small kitchenette. This room is available for use by community groups and organizations for a small fee, as well as library and city-sponsored programs and activities.
