Code Enforcement: Car Washing and Repairs

  • Car Washing Guidelines
    -
    Wash your car only on your
      driveway, not in front or side
      yards or on the street;
    - Don't allow detergents,
      motor oil, etc. to enter into
      the gutter or storm drains.

  • Auto Repair Guidelines
    - Don't fix your vehicle on
      public property--make minor
      auto repairs in your garage
      or driveway instead.
    - Do not toss oil down the
      trash or into the storm drain
      system.
    - If you're going to change
      your motor oil, you can pick
      up a free recycling container
      at the Utilities Customer Service
      Center, 68 S. First St., during
      weekday business hours.*
    - Recycle used motor oil and
      filters. Take them to a
      Certified Oil Recycling Center.
* Proof of residency is required.
