Anyone driving on West Main Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets will certainly not miss Alhambra's newest mixed-use development project -- Alhambra Regency Plaza -- which features 21,000 sq. ft. of street level retail space and 80 residential units. Commercial tenants include: HSBC Bank, Triumphal Palace (a dim sum restaurant), Toros Japanese Fusion Seafood, the Tea Station, as well as UPS and Banana Wireless stores. Commercial occupancy is still available.

The Tea Station offers a wide assortment of tea
drinks from bubble tea to green tea, Taiwanese
icies, milk shakes, ice creams and Taiwanese teas.

Fifteen years in the planning, Alhambra Regency Plaza, was dedicated with a
ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 30, 2004.
The mixed-use residential and commercial mix, successful in urban communities as a model of "smart growth,"  is relatively new to Alhambra. Currently, several other nearby mixed-use buildings are in the planning stage.

The renaissance of Main Street has brought back the glory days when Alhambra was the "go-to" place for San Gabriel Valley families. New restaurants, shops and boutiques, and an entertainment center have all added to the rejuvenation, and new residents, living within easy walking distance of all venues, will insure steady use of Downtown services.

Above: The Regency's residential condos,
located on four levels, include a mix of one-
bedroom residences, easily affordable to
young professionals just starting out in careers
and homeownership, and penthouses with
three bedrooms and a loft overlooking the
beautiful San Gabriel Mountains, for larger
families who want the convenience of
access to Main Street attractions.

The Regency's residential units are located above the ground level commercial units
and range in size from 662 sq. ft. to approximately 1,800 sq. ft. Sixteen are reserved for moderate-income first-time buyers. The complex consists of 1 to 3 bedroom condominiums; penthouse units offer split levels housing either a loft or master bedroom. Some units have a balcony. Other features include double pane windows, central air/heating systems, marble tile foyer, kitchen with built-in appliances, oak veneer cabinets, granite counter tops, tile-floored kitchens and bathrooms, and wall-to-wall carpet (in owner's choice of color). The units are also cable TV ready. Some units offer ADA handicap-accessible bathrooms, reinforced for handrail installation and wheelchair access.

The complex offers ample underground parking, the convenience of downtown living, and luxury amenities within the complex, including controlled resident parking, a
large, beautifully landscaped roof garden
and patio, a tennis court, and a club house with exercise room, available for parties
and celebrations.
