City of Hope is one of 41 Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). It is here at City of Hope that more than 300 physicians and scientists and 2,500 employees work to find the causes of and cures for cancer and other life-threatening diseases, including diabetes and HIV/AIDS. City of Hope, located on over 114 beautifully landscaped acres, has 212 licensed beds.

Garfield Medical Center is a 210-bed acute care hospital, Its health care services including a wide range of cardio-pulmonary services, critical care and emergency services, outpatient surgery, pediatrics, radiology and diagnostic imaging, and surgery. Located in East Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County-USC Health Network is one of the nation's largest teaching centers. It has achieved a national reputation for excellence through its affiliation with the University of Southern California School of Medicine. The 2,045-bed facility provides medical, surgical and emergency and Level 1 trauma services in General Hospital and obstetrical, gynecological, pediatric and specialized neonatal intensive care services in its Women's and Children's Hospital. It also offers psychiatric services for mental disorders in adults, adolescents and children. The Medical Center is one of the leading resources for health manpower training of physicians, nurses, and allied health care personnel in the United States.

The San Gabriel Valley Medical Center is a 274-bed, not-for-profit, acute care hospital that opened its doors in 1960 as a high-quality community hospital with 146 beds. As the San Gabriel Valley has changed over the years, so too has the medical center. The completion of a $30 million patient tower in 1987enabled the medical center to grow into a highly sophisticated healthcare facility. Its has received international recognition in the areas of diagnostic imaging, pathology, emergency medicine and thorascopic surgery. Additional services include: cardiac care, a skilled nursing facility, obstetrics, neonatal, intensive care, mental health center and an eye care center.
