City of Hope is one of 41 Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). It is here at City of Hope that more than 300 physicians and scientists and 2,500 employees work to find the causes of and cures for cancer and other life-threatening diseases, including diabetes and HIV/AIDS. City of Hope, located on over 114 beautifully landscaped acres, has 212 licensed beds.

It has achieved a national reputation for excellence through its affiliation with the University of Southern California School of Medicine. The San Gabriel Valley Medical Center is a 274-bed, not-for-profit, acute care hospital that opened its doors in 1960 as a high-quality community hospital with 146 beds.
