Marla's Restaurant is a gourmet
style restaurant featuring
Escargot and a full menu of
other French specialities.

Marla's owner and operator, "Hany," also operates the famed La Parisienne Restaurant in Monrovia. The success of the new French-style restaurant, named after Hany's daughter, Marla, is enthusiastially predicted by those who have enjoyed the outstanding French cuisine consistently served at La Parisienne for the past nine years under Hany's direction. Hany's cooking skills were honed in outstanding London restaurants and hotels, and since 1985 he has worked his culinary magic in Southern California, including "Cuisine on the Green," prior to purchasing La Parisienne. And his chefs--imported like his favorite dishes--they're "made in France!" Ah, "oui!"

Marla's Restaurant provides gourmet French cuisine that is both fresh and delicious, in surroundings that are elegant, and comfortable -- but not stuffy. Seafood is not the only menu option available at Marla's, but connoisseurs will definitely not want to miss these selections:

  • fresh imported European turbot - "modestly" acclaimed as "the best fish in the world"
  • fresh imported Dover sole - deboned at your table
  • Hawaiian sunset fish - fresh, mild, not oily and with a passion fruit sauce
  • live Maine lobster - two pounds, three pounds, five pounds and, on request, eight pounds!
  • Seasonally you can enjoy Alaskan halibut, fresh softshell crabs, fresh sand dabs, Santa Barbara shrimp and more, and ever and always - salmon!

Hany also promises "the best wine in Alhambra." With a collection of 700 wines in the La Parisienne cellar, that claim is hard to refute.
