La Source Gems, Inc., looks like (and is) a jewelry store where you'll find many beautiful bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and rings. But, you'll also discover a unique craft store where you can buy gem-beads, strand after strand of them, at amazingly low prices to craft your own self-designed jewelry.

Jewelry prices range from as little as $3 to pieces in the $70-$80 range. The strands of beads, comprised of an amazing variety of gemstones, sell in the range of $12 to $15 (a few higher).

But you admit, you've never strung a pair of beads before - Take a class! La Source Gems offer their own bead-making classes, in which you'll learn how to string your own jewelry. Call them at the number listed above for a schedule of classes.

If you really want to splurge, La Source Gems also has a variety of beautiful raw amethyst pieces that would look good in your home or office, and their display piece--an interior-lighted Rock Citrine--is a rock to die for (with an equivalent, to-die-for, price!)

Owners of La Source Gems are Matthew Yan and Edmond Wong. They've been in the wholesale jewelry business for about 6 years, but this store is their first venture into retail. They say they like what's happening on Main Street, and feel that this location, in the Pedrini Music building, provides great potential for their business.
