Angelena's knows how to create the robust delicacies that make Cajun and Soul food so enjoyable--and will pamper you and your guests in old-fashioned Southern hospitality. The decor is inviting with huge colorful portraits of well-know Southern "stars," including Ray Charles and Elvis as you enter the restaurant. With so much to offer, what better way to enjoy a first-time experience than knowing you are contributing to a worthwhile cause at the same time.

Angelena's Restaurant, named after the grandmother of co-owner, Jerome Moss, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast, you can have traditional eggs, bacon or sausage--or you can have a truly Southern style breakfast with Catfish or Salmon Croquettes and Eggs, or another Southern favorite--a Biscuit & Gravy Breakfast. And don't forget a side order of Grits, too.

For lunch, the selection includes a variety of soups, salads, hot and cold sandwiches, and Angelena's "signature" dishes, including Fried Chicken, Red Beans & Rice with Hot Links, BBQ Ribs, Smothered Pork Chop, Catfish--and more.

For dinner, you've got to try the Jambalaya and Gumbo or Oxtails for a true taste of the Deep South. You can also choose from a complete selection of combination plates and full entrees, including the Cajun Snapper & Shrimp Platter, BBQ Ribs & BBQ Hot Links Platter, Catfish & Shrimp Platter, Smothered Steak & Onion, Chicken Fried Steak, Porterhouse or Top Sirloin Steak, Fried or Baked Chicken, Meatloaf, and even Liver & Onions. If you prefer a vegetarian menu, Angelena's offers a plate with Collard Greens, String Beans, Cabbage, Succotash and Butter Beans. Side dishes include Macaroni & Cheese, Fried Okra and Hush Puppies.

And what about dessert? It will be hard to choose just one with such a delectable selection, including Apple or Peach Cobbler, Sweet Potato Pie, Bread Pudding, Red Velvet Cake, Sweet Potato Cheesecake, Whole Sweet Potato Pie--and more.

No doubt about it, Angelena's will insure you of a good meal and a good time. You might even get posed with one of Jerome's musical trivia questions (a.k.a. the "Trivia Challenge") or his "Scrabble Challenge" (both Jerome and Tim say they will match their Scrabble expertise against yours any day with food and cash prizes for those who, by some miracle, beat them).
